Feldspar

Feldspar is formed as a result of crystallization from magma veins in both intrusive and extrusive igneous rocks and is also present in many types of metamorphic & sedimentary rocks. It is the most abundant rock-forming mineral in nature and is basically alumina-silicate with potassium, sodium & calcium. It is generally marketed after grinding to specified a mesh according to the consumer's needs. Feldspars (KAlSi308 – NaAlSi308 - CaAl2Si208) are a group of rock-forming tectosilicate minerals that make up as much as 60% of the Earth's crust.

It is used in manufacturing glass pottery in high-grade colorless glass. It is also used in the ceramic industry as glazed in chinaware.
